	Control Panel This is usually mounted in a basement or interior closet and is the “brains” of the system. It transmits signals to the monitoring center in the event of an alarm and has a back-up battery in case of power failure. Can be used with up to 96 hardwired or wireless devices.		Smoke/Heat Detector Upon detecting smoke or unusually high temperature, sounds and alarm to warn your family of a possible fire, while simultaneously alerting the fire department for assistance. It saves your life as well as your home.
	Keypad A keypad allows you to turn the system off or on by entering a code. It will also inform you of the location of an alarm and includes 3 emergency buttons that notify the monitoring facility if you need fire, medical or police assistance.		Wireless Keyfob Allows you to arm and disarm your system from up to 75 feet away. It fits easily on your keychain and can also be used as an emergency/panic button.
	Door/Window Sensor and Flex Switch Sensors trigger the alarm if a secured door or window is opened while the system is armed. Can be hardwired or wireless. A flex switch is a sensor that triggers the system upon detecting the sound of breaking glass or when the door or window is forced open.		Siren Sounds a piercing alarm (90db), letting intruders and your family know the system has been triggered.
	Motion Detector Motion detectors monitor open areas, triggered by body movement within the home. They sense movement and/or body heat. Even homes with pets can use a motion sensor. A very economical way to secure a large area of a home!		Cellular Backup Can be used as primary communication device if no traditional phone line is on premises. Can also transmit security signals if a phone line is down or cut.
	Glassbreak Detector Triggers the security system upon detecting the sound of breaking glass, while ignoring thunderstorms, phones and other common noises. These work very well in areas with a large number of windows or patio doors.		Moisture Sensor Will notify the monitoring facility and the homeowner in the event of a flood in the basement or near a washing machine, which could save the homeowner thousands.
